The client had launched a range of dips and due to initial poor R&D design, numerous product recalls occurred resulting in tonnes of product being wasted. Their product formulation costs were high and the quality of the product after only a few weeks at ambient storage showed accelerated signs of product ageing.
We re-designed their formulations and developed their own unique ingredient solutions using newer technologically advanced ingredients and achieved further cost reduction strategies by streamlining their inventory control. We also fine-tuned their methods of processing and helped train their production staff to deliver a safer and more consistent product for retail sale. Quality assurance programs were developed with the Client and efforts were maintained at a steady pace to monitor product quality during both transport and storage.
The Client saved on actual product formulation costs and reduced further financial losses by reducing product loss. We achieved a top quality, high-end product that was not compromised in any way plus extended the product shelf life. The Client then gained the required credibility in the marketplace as the brand leader for dips in retail shelf space.
The Client approached us looking to launch a brand new, value- added range of mayonnaise and salad dressings for retail and catering/food service trade. They lacked the required research & development expertise and required the support of a specialist.
